PHP is_readable() function

This function is used to check whether a file exists and readable or not.

Syntax

is_readable(filename);

filename is the name of the file with a directory name. This is the required parameter. It returns a boolean value true if variable is a resource and false otherwise.

Example

    $filename = 'test/txt';
    if(is_readable($filename)) {
        echo 'File is readable and exist.';
    }
?>
